QUALC Pre-Application and Criteria Matrix

The pre–application phase of the QUALC process begins with the eligibility criteria which require that any Adult Learning Organisation (ALO) wanting to enter the QUALC process must comply with a minimum of 3 out of 4 criteria.

The OSMOSYS project

The OSMOSYS project, which has been run before the QUALC project, specifically aimed at: 

  • Developing a model building capacity to integrate job related and non-job related learning for adult employees;
  • Testing the model building approach (i.e. the ‘OSMOSYS Self-Diagnostic & Transformative Toolbox’) by applying it in a wide range of learning opportunities within ALCs in Europe;
  • Experimenting an integrated approach to learning services provision, including the testing of e-Portfolios as a means to describe, record and document the results of any learning (i.e. formal, informal, work-based, experiential).

The SEEQUEL project

The main purpose of the SEEQUEL project, as well run before the QUALC project, was to bring together the main actors involved in the development and use of e-learning and to arrive at a common understanding of quality, including the criteria for its assessment in order to provide an overall quality framework for e-learning in Europe.
