UNEP recommends Open ECBCheck to African Ministerial Conference on the Environment in Bamako, Mali PDF Print E-mail
As a result of the UNEP Pre-Conference Seminar on "Technology-Supported Learning for Environmental Education" in conjuncton with "2nd Steering Committee meeting of the Pan-Africa eLearning for the Environment Network" in Lusaka on 26 May 2010 UNEP recommended to the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment to endorse Open ECBCheck as a quality to be romoted to enhance technology enhanced learning. In the chair’s summary it states "Promote the adoption of quality assurance standards for eLearning delivery by adapting the international ECB-Check framework to local needs." Furthermore the gathering requested UNEP to "Promote the widespread use of the ECB-Check quality assurance tool for eLearning courses and programmes." The developments show that Open ECBCheck has become a reference standard for technology enhanced learning.
