EFQUEL has permanent staff members and recruits consultants for specific assignments. For its project involvement EFQUEL works with experts from members institutions through secondment agreements.
Marie Bijnens, EFQUEL Director
As the EFQUEL director Marie Bijnens is responsible for strengthening the EFQUEL network and for seeking opportunities for EFQUEL members to generate expertise through EFQUEL activities. This on the one hand by providing them with the respective quality frameworks developed by EFQUEL and on the other hand by offering opportunities to contribute to the implementation of diverse projects. Furthermore she is responsible for the coordination of the organisation of the EFQUEL Innovation Forum.
Anthony F. Camilleri, Quality Certification manager and Policy advisor
Anthony F. Camilleri is a tertiary education policy consultant. He holds qualifications in law from the University of Malta, and was also active in the Malta national students’ union and the European Students’ Union. He works on topics related to Quality Assurance of Higher and Vocational Education, Social Dimension of Education and Innovation in Education. Anthony is responsible for the EFQUEL certification schemes UNIQUe and ECBCheck and for various projects related to open education resources and practices, quality in technical and vocational training.
Anne-Christin Tannhäuser, Project manager
Anne-Christin Tannhäuser earned a degree in Educational Sciences and Linguistics from the University of Leipzig in 2007. She was trained at the Max Planck-Institute for Human Development in the use of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Since 2008 Anne-Christin Tannhäuser has been working for projects in the field of education and innovation at a European level. In EFQUEL Anne-Christin will be responsible for project management of European funded projects.
Benjamin Gheerolfs, Project and Communication Assistant
Finalising his studies in the Louvain School of Management, Benjamin works part-time in EFQUEL for the management of SEVAQ+ and offereing general support to EFQUEL’s project and certificiaton portfolio. Furthermore Benjamin is responsible for EFQUEL’s communication activities and editorial support. He’s among other activities writing the annual report 2011 and developing a general EFQUEL communication strategy.
